1. Merchant Registration & Verification
All sellers must complete a full business verification before going live on HafiYawee. This protects customers and builds marketplace trust.
- Valid Rwandan business registration (RDB) certificate or individual trader permit.
- National ID (NID) or valid passport for identity verification.
- Active MTN Mobile Money or Airtel Money account for commission payouts.
- At least one verified product listing with accurate images and descriptions.
Verification is completed within 24 business hours. Approved accounts receive a Verified Merchant badge automatically.
2. Commission Structure & Payout Timeline
HafiYawee charges a flat 10% commission on each completed and delivered sale. There are no monthly fees, listing fees, or hidden charges.
Sale Completed
Buyer confirms delivery or 48h passes with no dispute.
Commission Deducted
10% platform fee is automatically deducted from gross sale amount.
Payout Released
Net amount paid to your MoMo account within 24–48 business hours.
3. Product Listing Standards
All products must meet HafiYawee's quality standards before they appear publicly in the marketplace:
- Minimum 3 high-resolution product images clearly showing the actual item.
- Accurate product title, complete description, and correct category selection.
- Honest and up-to-date pricing in Rwandan Francs (RWF). Misleading price displays are prohibited.
- Real-time stock count maintained. Out-of-stock items must be marked DRAFT immediately.
- Products must comply with all Rwandan import, standards (RBS), and labeling regulations.
4. Prohibited Items & Zero-Tolerance Policies
The following items are strictly prohibited on HafiYawee:
- Counterfeit, pirated, or intellectual-property-infringing products.
- Alcohol, tobacco, and controlled substances regulated by Rwandan law.
- Weapons, ammunition, explosives, or any item regulated by the Rwanda National Police.
- Stolen goods, hazardous chemicals, or items without required regulatory clearance.
- Adult content, gambling services, or financial instruments.
Violations result in immediate and permanent account suspension without prior warning.
5. Fulfillment, Dispatch & Return Obligations
- Merchants must package and handover orders to the assigned HafiYawee courier within 24 hours of order confirmation.
- Failure to dispatch within 24 hours without prior notice may result in automatic order cancellation and a refund issued to the buyer.
- Merchants must accept all valid return requests under HafiYawee's 7-day return policy and cooperate with inspection procedures.
- Repeatedly rejected returns or unresolved disputes will result in seller performance score reduction and may lead to suspension.
6. Code of Conduct & Account Suspension
HafiYawee maintains a fair, professional marketplace where customer trust is paramount. Merchants agree to the following behavioral standards:
- No direct contact with customers outside the platform for competitive sales circumvention.
- No review manipulation, fake order placements, or rating abuse.
- Prompt, respectful, and professional responses to all customer inquiries within 24 hours.
